Cancellation & Refund Policy — The Connected Human Retreat

 

We understand that sometimes life changes, and plans need to shift. To maintain fairness, clarity and care for everyone involved, the following cancellation policy applies to all bookings:

 

Deposit

 

• The AUD $300 deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.

• Your deposit secures your place and locks in your Early-Bird rate (if applicable).

 

Refunds on Remaining Balance

 

Refund eligibility applies to the amount paid beyond the deposit.

 

If you cancel more than 6 months before the retreat start date

 

✔ Full refund of payments made (excluding the non-refundable deposit)

 

If you cancel between 6–9 months before the retreat start date

 

✔ 50% refund of payments made (excluding the deposit)

 

If you cancel within 9 months of the retreat start date

 

❌ No refund applies,

unless there are genuine extenuating or compassionate circumstances (such as serious illness or family emergency), which will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

 

Transfer / Gift Option

 

If you are unable to attend, your place may be gifted or transferred to another participant of your choosing (subject to organiser approval).

No transfer fees apply.

 

Retreat Cancellation by Organisers

 

In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled by the organisers:

 

✔ You will receive a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit.

 

Please note: This refund does not cover flights, transfers or travel/insurance costs.

For this reason, travel insurance is required for all participants.

 

Travel & Insurance

 

Participants are responsible for:

 

• flights

• travel arrangements

• travel & medical insurance

 

We strongly recommend comprehensive cover including retreat cancellation and medical care.

Retreats involve months of preparation and commitments with our venue and local community partners. This policy helps us honour those commitments while still responding to life’s unpredictability with understanding and care.
